Statement of Non‑Discrimination
Queen Anne’s Classical Charter School is a tuition‑free public charter school, open to every family in Queen Anne’s County. As a public school, we do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, disability, religion, or age in admission, access to programs, or employment.
Admission is open to all students eligible to attend public school in Maryland. The school does not administer entrance examinations and does not select students on the basis of academic ability, athletic ability, English‑language proficiency, or disability. If applications exceed available seats, students are admitted by random public lottery, as Maryland law requires.
Students with disabilities
The school serves students with disabilities in accordance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act. A free appropriate public education is provided to eligible students with disabilities, and the school participates in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs and Section 504 plans.
Multilingual learners
Students and families are welcome regardless of the language spoken at home. The school provides support for multilingual learners, and no student is denied admission or participation on the basis of English‑language proficiency.
Questions or concerns
Any person who believes they have experienced discrimination in a school program or activity may contact the Board at questions@queenannesccs.com. Upon the school’s opening, a designated coordinator for non‑discrimination compliance will be named and published on this page, together with a formal grievance procedure.
Adopted by the founding Board in advance of the school’s opening. This statement will be reviewed and re‑adopted upon charter approval, and updated with coordinator contact information before the first day of school. Language to be reconciled with the non‑discrimination assurances in the school’s charter application.
